In August I was asked to come to Nashville for a session with Gus and Hana. See Gus is an old fellow but an old fellow with happy puppy eyes and a spirit to match.
I started our day with a walk with Gus, his Mom and sister Hana.
One block and he was done so he and I just sit and chilled in the yard and we waited for Mom to come back.
and played for about 5seconds
Until he decided it was time to move this party to the kitchen. Off we go.
He and I spent about 30 minutes again, just chilling in the kitchen and visiting. His hips are frail, his eyes do not see so good, but his mind is sharp as a tack. He let me crawl all over the place just trying to get all his many expressions.
Then at his request we meandered outside for yes...some more chilling.. you see at his age chilling is the BEST part of the day and if people are over and bring string cheese it is 20x better.
Since our session the Rainbow Bridge welcomed Gus home. His Mom, Sis and every one he has ever met is heartbroken. He was the stray that stayed and his sweet, sweet soul will be missed my many.
Thank you Barbara M. for allowing me to spend time with you, Gus and Hana. Your fellow is why I do what I do and why I love it so. My heart will be forever touched by My Sweet Gentleman Gus.
You are missed, Gus...What a beautiful tribute to him and to the love that we share with our dogs.
